Underground Awakening
Underground Awakening

I offer my moment of silence…
To the soldiers who never signed up yet become victim to such violence
To my homies pushing the pen, who never found peace resting within
To the ones so brave as to break all the rules, knowing we weren’t given half the tools
To the martyrs who never asked to be our lesson, stricken of a life they were destined
My head bows low, to the soldiers who show me, we ain’t free, just another form of trickery
And from you to me, you trusted me with every emotion you felt through the commotion
Since I drank the potion, your confessions to me will lead you all forever free
Free of judgement cause you helped me see, the pain of you was felt by me
And even if they won’t accept dues, you made me love you, all of you
Cause I felt in your heart the confusion you felt too… my murderers
Can we please offer a moment of silence…
To the victims that are forced to allocate cause not only on this earth do we dispute
But they are forced to again and again, at what point does a mistake become distortion?
Can we please poor out some liquor for the one I dubbed unforgiven…
No way in hell would I console how that soul was liven, eternally resting will become of our brethren
To my tricksters, knocking paintings off the walls or unlatching the girls bathroom stalls
To my angels guiding me home, grabbing the wheel, leaving traces of brome
I knew then he wasn’t worthy but the order came from higher clergy
A moment of silence because they whisper without saying a word
They carry us upon every moment with a reminder of timing that seems so absurd
If you ain’t heard, then it wasn’t meant to be –
Underground soldiers will forever be ruling my written destiny
And if you just had an epiphany, then maybe you will see
The underground that you so claim to be…
Maybe you would judge my style less and try to learn more for what can you learn from a dead man walking… not a damn thing!
