i dont want 2 b another statistic
some suicidalteen
who makes a choice to kill herself
when the world just seems 2 mean
she cant go on wit life
or so 2 her it seems
reality has fallen short
and so have her many dreams

i dont want 2 b another statistic
some pregnant lil girl
who met this great guy and gives sex a whirl
she was only 13
but it felt so right
2bad she thought they would be 2gether 4 more than that 1 nite

some kid strung out on crack
who was influenced to start a party
but now cant turn back

first cigarettes and alcohol
now weed,crack and cocaine
shes been smokin it so long
that now she's gone insane

i dont want 2 b another statistic
some girl left out in the rain
who was walkin home from school
then raped and left in pain
she cant tell her parents
and it hurts to tell her friends
she dont no what 2 do to make this nightmare end

i dont want 2 be another statistic
another highschool drop out or mabey even middle school
who didnt do anything so start acting like a fool
she didnt go to class
and didnt do her work
but got mad when people started to call her dumb
i dont want my name to b forgotin an now known as just anotha bum

i dont wanna be another statistic
some stereotypical teen
im gonna make a difference
im gonna keep myself clean
i wont end up pregnant
im gonna go through thru wit all my dreams
im not apart of the stereotype of what society now calls a teen
im goin 2 suceed
im goin 2 make it an not stop
and because i dont wanna be another statistic im goin to do what i got to do to make it to the top,
simply because i dont wanna be another statistic.

well a slight break down

the topic is one thats been written on many times in todays general writings

you yook it on a diffrent path with the ending

it was a great read and some lines that stood out:

its funny because this whole poem reminds of the IDEAL teen female theses days (in societies eyes)
