yeah its hard to find the right frequency
i'm frequently interrupted by commercials
that complement my A.D.D
but there's a purpose in the advertisements
their lies were ment to hide the fine print
typed in our innocence
so read and recite your soul outloud and single out
your voice from the the noise of the crowd
c'mon man just stand up and shout
allow your views to echo through the window
of classrooms, cliche's and conformity.
as you begin telling them what you're all about
go ahead, you got my attention
not to mention everyones listening to you now...

turn the beat down
let me just speak now
stand high and proud
try to listen through the crowd
I got something to say
and maybe you'll hear today
I pray you'll heal today
and since your here today
lend your ears this way
as I say... change.

The lessons are trapped inside the
design of a new boom box intertwined
with defects that test each answer
where glares compare the unfair questions like,
what stereo type is playing in your area tonight?
or is it right to blast your beliefs into
anothers ear drums, untill they hum along?
cause some think we're essentially all singing
the same song, but its hard to tell which
verses to hold on to; we each find the line
and hang out at the bars where we belong, true?
you always knew you weren't strong enough to carry
that very contraption that clouded your passion
shrouded your actions into a false satisfaction
and what's your reaction?
to the shattered pieces of speech on the sidewalk
beside your broken boom box outlined in chalk.
music was on the news at 5... in an ICU barely alive
to the outside world...

and your there, and im here
and I can hear you thinking,
wishing for that chance to change.

but you cant turn the beat down
everyone is screaming too loud
and your smothered in the crowd.
if you had something to say,
it wont be heard by anyone...
today.

very different topic..or atleast the approach to the topic

made it much more interesting

apart from that you had great poetic flow..very easy to read..words juss came right of the tounge and fit very nice 2gether...vocab, ideas,structure..everything made this a good poem... nice switch up in the middle..
