Dude idk I’m not the sites timekeeper or historian but there is no reason why these should not count on official records. This is where the most effort is applied to battles, front lines is a graveyard

Chill out. Was simply wondering whose idea it was or when it started becoming a thing. I’m just surprised I never heard of this until right now. Thought our battle records were basically retired lol.

You’re correct actually, at least from 2006 which was when the battle record system began here. Prior to that nothing was noted other than trusting people to keep their own in their signatures if they wished (plenty of inflated “Wreck”ords around back then), some even had a code so that it created a basic drop down menu in their signatures. I know I had one at one point.
Anyway, long story short, adding league battles to official records lead to some issues not considered at first. Some people would only sign in as aliases to avoid the losses going on their main accounts. Others, like topical heads, wouldn’t venture over onto the battle side of the site because it wasn’t their forte. They didn’t want unnecessary losses blemishing their main accounts for trying something that wasn’t their strong suit. They preferred to just stick to what they knew. The same thing also applied to Sacred Scriptures (The topical league here) where text battlers wouldn’t want to involve themselves to protect their records. Ultimately it was decided that, to encourage activity and crossover for both RB’s main leagues, battles in those leagues wouldn’t count on your site record. The idea was to try and encourage people to try something outside their comfort zones. The same applied to 1-2 and even the poetry league, similar was done at the Netcees LGPA (Lime Green Poetry Association) again to bolster activity by opening it up to as many participants as possible.
Not saying I agree or disagree with either, just confirming why it was done.

Yeah, I feel like people should reserve the right to opt out of a league impacting their official battle record if they want.
